Dental Trauma
Dental trauma to your face including knocked-out tooth or broken tooth or laceration is a dental emergency! If your permanent (adult) tooth fell out of your mouth due to injury, avoid touching roots, touch only crown. Gently rinse root, if still in tact and try to place it in the socket as soon as possible, if you cannot position tooth, try to keep under tongue or in a glass of milk. Research shows higher percentage of keeping your original tooth! You should not wait over two hours to be seen by a dental professional.
If your tooth fractured, please bring your broken tooth piece with you on your emergency appointment.
Tooth Abscess
Tooth Abscess can be with pain or without pain, however, these infections can spread to your system. If you have pimple looking like structure on your gum,
you should seek emergency appointment as soon as possible.
Facial Swelling
You may have tooth abscess that is progressing into systemic infection. this is emergency with life thretening, as swelling can cause blockage of your air way. You should seek emergnecy appontment as soon as possible.
Chipped tooth or lost filling or Crown
If you are experiencing pain after chipped tooth or lost filling or lost crown. you should seek emergency appointment. however, if there is no pain then this usually is not serious as other event in this list. however, at SMILEE Dental we do understand these will cause discomfort or loss of smile. we will try to book you in next available appointment.
Pain or sensitivity
Sometimes you do not understand why your tooth is in pain, sometimes you do not even know which tooth is causing pain. Whether it is mild to severe pain, SMILEE Dental Dentist will try our best to find the cause of pain and get you out of pain on same day. Do not spend many nights without sleep.
